Professional Fees and Insurance Questions
Session fees are due at the time of service. Dr. Henderson accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. The following payment options are available:
1. Self-pay. Dr. Henderson accepts fee-for-service payment. With this option, there is no formal diagnosis on a client’s medical record, insurance is not billed, and payment is made directly to Dr. Henderson.
- Initial diagnostic intake – $225.00
- 30 minute session – $100.00
- 45 minute session – $150.00
- 60 minute session – $165.00
2. Out-of-network Insurance. Dr. Henderson does not participate on the panels of any insurance companies; however, she is happy to provide documentation to submit for reimbursement of out-of-network insurance benefits. Out-of-network benefits allow you to choose your preferred doctor and typically reimburse between 50%-80% of allowable costs. Please call the member’s services number listed on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your benefits.
3. Missed Appointments: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for a cancellation or rescheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in the following fees: 30 min session – $75.00; full session – $125.00
Helpful Tips:
For out-of-network patients, please contact your insurance company for the following information:
- Obtain pre-authorization for outpatient psychotherapy with Dr. Sandra Henderson by calling the member service number on the back of the insurance card.
- Inquire about benefits with the following questions:
- What is my co-pay for outpatient psychotherapy?
- Do I have a deductible that needs to be met before my insurance will pay for psychotherapy services? If so, how much is my deductible and how much has already been met? What percentage (if any) will I (the client) be responsible for?
- Is there a limit on psychotherapy sessions per calendar year?
